Looking for something to do with your kiddos? Here is a list of things to do with kids (ages around 2 - 10) in and around Salem, OR. What are you favorite things to do with kids in the area?

1. A.C. Gilbert's Discovery Village Added by: sjcwestfall
Indoor and outdoor activities for many ages. Amazing outdoor facility with 3-story slides. Great spot for packing a lunch and eating at a picnic table in the summer time. The "Bubble Room" is a favorite, though I recommend going there last as kids often get very wet! http://www.acgilbert.org/

2. Salem's Riverfront Carousel Added by: sjcwestfall
A true classic . . . an indoor carousel. Last year they added the "ring" feature so big kids can reach to get a ring, from the mouth of a salmon, during the ride (though the feature is not always on). The carousel is located near a great outdoor park. http://www.salemcarousel.org/

3. The Enchanted Forest Added by: sjcwestfall
A traditional amusement park based around nursery rhymes. Fun rides for a variety of ages. Created in 1971, so it is a bit dated (or you could think of it as retro) so do not expect anything fancy or glitzy. It can be a spendy outing, so we always pack our own food to cut down (more)

5. Salem Saturday Market Added by: sjcwestfall
Peruse local produce, flowers and crafts while your kids enjoy live music played by area students and sample foods grown in the area. "Baloney the Clown" will make a balloon into a fancy creation while your child watches in awe. http://www.salemsaturdaymarket.com/
