What are some of the fun traditions that Columbia University has?

Tree Lighting

This is a newer Columbia tradition. Every year before winter finals, the trees are lit on the College Walk along with accompanying performances and speeches.

Orgo Night

The night before the Organic Chemistry finals the college band takes over the library and entertains the students for around an hour to privide a nice distraction to studying.

The Varsity Show

This is a show written by the students at Columbia for the purpose of entertaining the students at Columbia. This is a fairly large endeavor and is rumored to have one of the largest operating budgets in the country.
